Hi Jason

In those circumstances, I think your best way forward would be to gradually build up a list of advertisers or supporters and place their ads by hand.

Until then, use Google's Competitive Ad Filter (under the Adsense Setup tab) to block out the unwanted ads.

It is interesting to me that when ads are run on my current "free site" they are often from or by industries that are exactly what I don't want to promote.
I want a connection that will allow me to have ads on my site that agree with my philosphy, ethics and principles of operation. In other words if my blog or websites are about environmentally sensitive forestry that is intended to restorative to the ecology and society, why would I want to support ads that are selling the existing conventional destructive forestry. This is exactly what happens when I use the "free sites". I am pouring my soul and life into doing things differently and counter to the existing methods and approaches and on the side of the page are ads from the very people that I oppose.....

So my question is how may I select who post an ad on my site? How may I develop the advertisers that post on my site. For instance if I know there are businesses out there that I could support, but they currently don't have a strong web presence, how may I bring them into the web and in particular post their ads on my site?

Let me know what you think, I myself and new to the web and internet so please understand my limited knowledge in this area.

Thanks for your help with this cause.

We have several other web sites including
