One question I’m asked a lot is “what is the best meditation for beginners“?

A lot of people think that meditating involves a lot of practice and is complicated.

And whilst that’s true for some forms of meditation, there are several ways that you can begin to learn how to meditate without much effort…

For me, hands down the easiest way to meditate is with something called “binaural beats meditation“. This sounds complicated but the reality is that all the hard work has been done for you. All you need to do is put on your headphones and press Play.

There are lots of different methods available within this area. Probably the best known is Centerpointe’s Holosync program and that’s where I started out. I found two problems with it: the cost to go through all the levels is high and the full course takes years to complete.

So when I came across the Meditation Program I had to take a look.

This promised the same kind of results as Centerpointe but in a timescale anyone could relate to – weeks, rather than years.

As a beginners meditation, it’s a great system. You listen to a prerecorded track for between 30 and 60 minutes a day. The recording and the binaural beats behind it put you into a deep meditative state – one that would take you years to achieve by traditional methods.

I’m still using the system today, listening to it on a daily basis to help keep me focussed.

Whether you’re just about to start learning to meditate or have been meditating for some time, I highly recommend it. You can get hold of a copy of the Meditation Program here.

Whilst my preference is for the “high tech” meditation method, some people prefer a more traditional method of meditation.

I’ve investigated a lot of different methods for this as well and one of the best I’ve found is Core Energy Meditation.

It’s well explained – you can either listen to the background information with the audio files you’ll get or you can read the transcript of these if you prefer. Some people like to have the explanation in front of them as it keeps the rational side of their mind happy. So if that’s the case for you, this will be a good system for you.

Then there are the two main guided meditations. Kevin Schoeninger has a soothing voice, which is ideal for going into a meditative state. You can hear a sample of it here.

One big advantage of Core Energy Meditation is that the meditations themselves are short: you can choose from 20 minutes or 40 minutes. So if you’re pressed for time, this is an excellent choice.

Which is better? Binaural Beats Meditation or Guided Meditation?

I think the answer to this question is down to personal preference. Both systems work well.

If you’re the high tech, gadget type who just wants to put on a track and do absolutely nothing else, then a binaural beats meditation will work well for you.

If you like to know a bit more about how the technique works then the more traditional guided meditation is an excellent choice.

The main thing is to actually start to meditate. It’s an excellent experience and you’ll find yourself more relaxed after even a few sessions. If you’re able to practice most days, you’ll find a noticeable difference with either of these methods in a short space of time, regardless of your level of experience.

The Secrets of Real Hypnosis is delivered on one CD. This contains two hypnosis tracks and a setup file which installs the main course into its own folder on your PC.

The first chapter gives an overview of hypnosis and reassures you that hypnosis is a perfectly natural state that we all drop into from time to time.

If you don’t believe this, think back to a car journey where you remember little, if anything, about the trip between setting out on the journey and arriving at your destination. You were in a hypnotic trance, maybe because you do the journey so often that you were on the human equivalent of auto-pilot.

It also quickly dispels the other common myth that hypnotized subjects are asleep. You need to be awake for hypnosis to work, even if you are so deep in trance that you appear asleep to the outside world.

The next section deals with eight common myths about hypnosis. So if you currently believe that hypnosis is dangerous or makes people do things against their will, you’ll find out why these myths (and half a dozen others) aren’t true.

After that, the report moves on to how to find your “hypnotic voice”. This is the tone of voice that you’ll use when you start putting the hypnosis section into practice.

There’s no right or wrong voice here – I’ve personally used hypnosis tracks with all sorts of different voices and tonalities and have sometimes been surprised at how well the majority of them work, even if my initial reaction was “no way”. You’ll find out why this is the case in this short section.

Then the report gets into actually hypnotizing people. Starting with a simple formula which – it claims – will guarantee that your hypnosis sessions will work every time like clockwork.

Having practiced hypnosis for a number of years, I can confirm that in essence these 4 seemingly simple steps are all that you will need to work wonders with the people you hypnotize.

Each of the four steps is outlined first and then explained in more detail.

The detailed sections are well explained.

For instance, the section on relaxation not only gives you examples of how to put your subject into a relaxed state but also how to spot when they’re faking their reaction. Maybe they’re not intentionally pretending to be relaxed but if you’re able to spot the signs that everyone exhibits, you’ll be able to continue your relaxation hypnosis induction a bit longer if your subject hasn’t become fully relaxed. Which will help you to get the best results from the session.

Once you’ve got your subject relaxed, the fun can begin in earnest!

The section on hypnotic induction covers the induction itself as well as a number of pre-tests that you can perform before launching into the main induction itself. If this is the first session you’ve had with someone, these tests are very useful indicators. Longer term, as you get to know your subject and they get to know you, there’s a good chance that you’ll skip this stage as you’ll instinctively know that they’re ready to go into a deep hypnotic state.

You’re given some suggestions for a script to induce a hypnotic trance. These are a good basis and if you’ve ever seen a hypnotist or listened to a hypnosis track, you’ll likely recognize them.

Over time, you’ll develop your own induction script – the one I use wanders around one of three common themes depending on what I’m feeling like on the day and who I’m hypnotizing – but you need somewhere to start and this is a good place. There are also six tips to ensure that the induction is a success.

If you’re worried about a subject not responding to your hypnosis suggestions, the section on dealing with tricky subjects gives some good pointers for getting them to co-operate!

Once you’ve got your subject into a hypnotic trance, the next stage is to deepen it. The explanation here is good. Your subject won’t always go to the same level of deepness each time and this explanation should help you to stop worrying about this normal state of affairs.

You’re given a couple of different deepening techniques, including “down the stairs”, which is the one I normally use when I’m deepening someone’s trance. You’re also given some extra tips which will help you to have a successful trance deepening most every time.

Then it’s the moment you and your subject have really been waiting for: the actual hypnotic suggestion part of the process.

The report covers the three basic rules of hypnotic suggestion. If you write your own scripts, be sure to keep to these rules.

At this stage, you’re given a couple of sample suggestion scripts: one for curing headaches and the other is a memory loss script, similar to the ones used by stage hypnotists.

You’re also reminded of the fluid nature of hypnosis. So if you’re searching for the perfect script, stop panicking and remember that if the script you’re using works and achieves its desired outcome, then it’s absolutely fine!

This leads on to the section that deals with what to do when things don’t go 100% to plan. You’ll know from the rest of your life that not everything happens precisely as planned and hypnosis is no exception.

That said, it’s unusual and refreshing for a report like this to not only admit that things can go off course but to show you how to cope when this happens. Most courses I’ve come across assume that everything will always go perfectly. Top marks to Michael Masterman for including this!

Which just leaves a brief discussion of bringing your subject back out of trance.

Section two of the Secrets of Real Hypnosis shows you how to put all this knowledge into practice.

And if you’re a natural born exhibitionist, this includes stage hypnosis! You’ll probably recognize the six different tests outlined from any hypnosis stage show you’ve seen – they’re good tests from the hypnotists point of view and are also good for the audience to watch. After all, if the subjects are stuck to their chairs then they must be hypnotized!

The stage hypnosis discussion goes on to show you how to use post hypnotic suggestions. These are the events you’ve seen in hypnosis shows where the hypnotist will say a certain code word (or a specific event occurs) and the chosen person starts clucking like a chicken, telling the audience to keep quiet or something similar.

Later in the report is a complete section about putting on a successful stage hypnosis show. This includes selecting subjects and even a suggested running order for your show and lots of routines to use or adapt.

Half way between a personal hypnosis session and stage hypnosis is group hypnosis. This is where a group of people are hypnotized simultaneously. Usually for a stage show but you could also use this for, say, a weight loss or stop smoking group locally.

The third section of the Secrets of Real Hypnosis deals with self hypnosis.

Although the principle is simple, not everyone seems to be able to make the transition from hypnotizing other people to hypnotizing yourself.

Here, you’re given a step by step guide to achieving self hypnosis. All the way from relaxing yourself, inducing a hypnotic state in yourself, giving yourself the hypnotic suggestions and then waking yourself.

You’re given a simple 7 step formula to making sure that your self hypnosis scripts will work correctly.

You’re also given sample scripts for stop smoking, boosting your confidence, becoming a mega sales person and learning any new skill. There are also 4 tips to make sure that you achieve the best from your self-hypnosis sessions.

Section four deals with healing.

If this sounds odd, take a few seconds out to think about it. If someone breaks a limb, all the doctors do is put the limb straight and then encase it in plaster for a short while. Your body does all the hard work. And it knows exactly what to do.

In the same way, hypnotic healing simply helps the body to heal itself. (Of course, there are the usual warnings here about consulting with doctors, etc.)

Of course, the meaning of healing can be expanded so that it covers not just healing aches and pains but also improving confidence, boosting your motivation, curing fears and phobias as well as helping with quitting smoking or losing weight.

The report goes through exactly what you need to do in order to have a successful hypnotherapy session. These are outlined in a series of 8 short steps, each of which is explained well.

You’re also given sample scripts for:

Stop smoking

Stop stuttering

Quit taking drugs

Fear of flying

Fear of rejection

Fear of the dark

Cure insomnia

Cure acne

Stop snoring

If you bought these scripts separately from places like Hypnosis Scripts you’d pay more than double the price of the complete Secrets of Real Hypnosis course.

Another section of the report covers instant hypnosis. The kind you’ve probably seen in stage shows where the hypnotist says “sleep” and the subject is almost instantly hypnotized.

There are three simple instant hypnosis methods discussed, followed by a section on how to master these methods so that they work on your potential subjects. This is an often ignored section in other books. As I’ve said earlier, there are times when things don’t go 100% to plan – outside events beyond your control such as the neighborhood cats meowing at the top of their voices, for example – so this is a very useful reference.

Finally, the report deals with persuading others even if they haven’t been hypnotized.

You may have come across adverts for products such as Conversational Hypnosis that claim you can hypnotize people just by talking to them.

These skills are covered in the final section of the report, including how to use hidden hypnotic commands (often called embedded commands) to help you to get your way.

The two audio tracks on the CD are recordings of how to become a mega sales person and how to quit smoking. You’re also given the full scripts for these two sessions, so you can follow along if you want to.

Overall Verdict

Secrets of Real Hypnosis is a top quality, self contained hypnosis course. It’s well written and easy to understand. Even in some of the areas where hypnosis books typically glaze over things.

If you’re just about to learn hypnosis, it’s an excellent beginners guide.

And if, like me, you’re already practicing hypnosis regularly, you’ll pick up enough tips and tricks to make it worth adding to your library.

You can purchase Secrets of Real Hypnosis here.

When I first investigated Neuro Linguistic Programming, I read a few books and was pretty much none the wiser about how NLP worked. I then graduated to an audio series and, finally, took a live course.

The NLP Toolbox promises that you will get the top one hundred NLP tools in an easy-to-master format.

Does it live up to this bold claim?

If you want the quick answer: Yes!

The toolbox is delivered as a PDF file. Which means you can read it on near enough any computer or, if you prefer, sacrifice a few trees and print it out.

The report starts by giving you permission to experiment and have fun. Like most everything in life, you won’t always get the expected results. And NLP is no different.

After that brief explanation, it’s onto a scary sounding word called “presuppositions”. These are the ground rules that everything else is based on.

When I first began to learn NLP, this was an area I got quite confused about. In hindsight, I wish I’d had these clear, concise explanations.

For instance, when you hear a phrase like “The map is not the territory” your mind will likely think “I know that” and close down. Which isn’t the point of this presupposition – it’s aiming to extend your viewpoint and change it if necessary.

Instead, you get a neat explanation which makes this part of NLP clearer. Sure, you could read up on this elsewhere (there are plenty of 500 word “explanations” to be found on Google) but this is short enough for your mind to be able to focus and recognize the true meaning of the statement.

The same goes for the other 11 presuppositions that are discussed.

Next up is an explanation of the NLP Parts model.

If you’ve ever struggled to follow this in the book “Frogs into Princes” or “Tranceformations” then you’ll know that this simple model can get complicated if you’re not careful.

The 7 steps for the parts model (sometimes called parts regression) outlined in the toolbox strip the process down to its essentials. Which means you’re more likely to get it working the first time you use it. A friend of mine used this process to help his girlfriend drop a dress size with no effort on her part after the initial process. And she’s still slim today, which means it’s still working.

After that is a section that’s useful if you’re stuck somewhere in your life. Quite often, you know you’re stuck. Probably because you’ve been having your own private Groundhog Day for longer than you’d care to remember.

But you don’t know what you could do to un-stick yourself.

Any time this happens to you, the “Well-formed Outcome Tool” should be your first port of call. There are a series of 6 short questions that will clarify what you truly want – which is oftentimes not the same thing as your conscious mind thinks you want – and you’ll be on your way. The report also suggests running a parts process to make sure you’re 100% on track.

Simple but powerful ideas that have the capability of shifting the way you look at life.

Another NLP technique is called “anchoring”.

If you’ve ever listened to a song and instantly gone back to the time and place where you first heard it, you’ve already used an anchor. Just not deliberately. The short section on anchors gives you a flavor of how they are used, ready to put them into action later in the report.

All this ground work is well explained and won’t take long to read through. If you’ve done any NLP work before or come across it in a course, it’s worth reading this section through as a refresher.

Throughout the report, there are short exercises.

If the thought of exercises takes you back to exams at school, think again.

These are quick and fun. And they help to reinforce what you’ve read before, helping you to learn quicker. Which, since NLP models successful learning patterns, is doubtless deliberate and works effectively.

If you get a little voice in your head telling you to “skip the exercises” or “you can always come back to the exercises later”, reposition that voice somewhere you won’t take it seriously. Maybe make it a squeaky, tinny voice and move it to the end of your toenail. Then muffle it with a sock or shoe. And do the exercises!

Incidentally, there are lots of other ways covered to deal with these negative voices. (Some less polite than the one I’ve outlined!)

By the way, we all get these voices from time to time. Use this process or something similar to banish them from your life.

From time to time, the report uses NLP jargon. But whenever it does, there’s an explanation close at hand. So if you’ve heard of “disassociation” before but were clueless about its precise meaning, help is at hand. As with the rest of the report, this help is brief enough that you’ll read it and clear enough that you’ll be able to use it. Likely on first reading.

NLP often uses timelines. These represent where we “picture” things in the past and future. Personally, my timeline stretches from behind me (to my left and slightly downwards) for the past and stretches out in front of me (to my right and slightly upwards) for my future.

Different people have different timelines. If you’re not sure where your personal timeline lies, there are 5 simple questions you can use to find it out. As with the other exercises, it’s worth doing this one as the visual nature is easier when you point to the different places on your personal timeline. Once you’ve discovered this, you can play with some of the tools in the toolbox much more effectively.

The NLP Toolbox itself is split up into 11 sections:

Getting motivated

Personal power

Self image

Freeing up fears

New perspectives

Generate more fun/humor

Eliminating negative thoughts

Health and healing techniques

Beliefs

Relaxation

Other cool tools

Your choice: you can dip into these on an “as needed” basis or, if you’re just learning NLP, you can work your way through them methodically.

Whichever route you choose, the methods are explained simply. Usually in a handful of steps.

Which means that if you’ve ever come across a feeling of overwhelm and thought “I can never remember all that” when you’ve used other programs, you’re highly unlikely to get that feeling with the NLP Toolbox. I wish I’d had access to this report when I first started using NLP.

Since each section contains a number of different methods, you can play around to find the one that works best for you in any given situation.

So if you’re looking for an alternative to the Fast Phobia Cure, you can try out the Fear Reversal Procedure or the Fearful Memory Blocker instead. Or maybe ShamaniX® Shapeshifting instead.

The section on fun and humor should be one you turn to if you’re feeling a bit low. I’d be surprised if you weren’t laughing out loud by the time you finish reading the Ridiculous Behavior Generator technique, let alone actually using it.

And even the name of the Automatic Giggle Installer brought a smile to my face!

The Health section begins with a simple headache cure – this isn’t a method I’d come across before but it’s certainly quick and easy and worked well when I used it on someone. And obviously it’s cheaper than buying pain killers as well as being faster than them.

There are a couple of techniques to help with weight loss, another to help you quit smoking plus pain reduction and several other simple techniques.

If your personal belief structure is holding you back in life (for instance, if you often find yourself saying “I could never do that”), then turn to the beliefs section.

In it, you’ll find methods to eliminate negative beliefs from your life. Try the Belief Dissolver for a quick solution. Or one of the other methods outlined if your belief structure doesn’t (yet) allow you to allow this to work.

I’ve just scratched the surface in this review.

The NLP Toolbox is probably the best introduction to NLP that I’ve come across. It puts the subject across in a simple, easy to follow way that will likely have you nodding “yes” in understanding. Old NLP hands will find it a quick refresher course of things they’ve learned and promptly forgotten. Or new insights into techniques that maybe they haven’t yet mastered.

It’s an easy read with plenty of practical help and examples. And it’s definitely recommended.

You can get a copy of the NLP Toolbox here.

Phobias are defined as being irrational fears of certain things or situations.

Which, whilst it’s probably true, doesn’t help much if you’re unlucky enough to suffer from a phobia.

Whether you’re afraid of spiders, heights, flying, public speaking or anything else, it’s likely holding you back in some way.

Which is where the 10 Minute Phobia Cure comes in…

A lot of our phobias are ones that we’ve learned quickly. If you hate the sight of spiders, there’s a good chance that you learned to have this phobia in a few short seconds – maybe when you were playing with a spider as a child and then your mother came into the room and screamed or shouted. In that instant, you learned that you were supposed to be afraid of these creepy crawlies.

Same goes for being scared of heights, flying or anything else you can name. Chances are that you “learned” your fear quickly.

The good news is that this fear can be unlearned nearly as quickly.

The 10 Minute Phobia Cure uses a simple NLP (neuro linguistic programming) technique called the Rewind Technique.

The program comes through the post on a CD, so if you’re booked on a flight tomorrow you’ll just have to cope with that (sorry).

There are 4 tracks on the CD:

Track 1 explains a bit about phobias and a bit about how the main phobia cure works. It’s worth listening to if you haven’t come across NLP concepts before as it will help you to rationalize why the cure works so fast (otherwise your conscious mind may try to get in the way of the technique).

Track 2 is the phobia cure itself. It’s actually a bit longer that 10 minutes in length but that’s only because it is also talking you through the whole process. If you have several phobias to get rid of, or if you want to practice these techniques on friends and family, you’ll soon get it down to ten minutes, maybe even less.

Tracks 3 and 4 are short and help to reinforce the main phobia cure. They also have short adverts for some other programs offered by the company producing the CD. You can happily skip these tracks if you’re short of time.

So.

Does it work?

Without a doubt, the answer is yes.

The NLP technique is tried and tested. I learned it on an NLP course that I did some years back and I have used it lots of times to cure fears and phobias on lots of different people.

It’s well explained and the main track is easy to follow and gives you plenty of help and assistance as you go. Allow yourself 30 minutes to get rid of a phobia the first time you use this program and under a quarter of an hour for any subsequent problems you want to get rid of.

My only “complaint” is that it arrives through the post. We’re trained to be impatient nowadays and it would be useful to have the option of downloading the tracks. But that’s a small irritation and within a few minutes of opening the post, you’ll be on your way to curing any fears and phobias you’re harboring.

The price of the 10 Minute Phobia Cure is very reasonable but you can save yourself a further $10 by using the discount links below (a bit like some places offer a coupon code):

10 Minute Phobia Cure discounted version – PayPal

10 Minute Phobia Cure discounted version – Credit card

(if you use the credit card option, you’ll also find a “registration backup service” offered – you’re getting the CD through the post, so you can safely untick this).

If you’ve got any phobia or fear that you’d like to be rid of, the 10 Minute Phobia Cure is an excellent product.

It’s almost the same experience as you’d get from visiting your local NLP person for a fraction of the cost. And it’s an order of magnitude quicker cure than you’d get with hypnosis. Plus it works on absolutely any fear or phobia you’re ever likely to encounter. Even the “bigger” fears such as agoraphobia as well as all those niggly fears.

It works on children just as well as it does on adults. So if you’ve got a child who’s suffering from nightmares or is afraid of the dark, use it on them. Because children have more vivid imaginations than us older folks, you’ll be pleasantly surprised how fast it will work with them. And you’ll have the fun of seeing them break out into a broad grin or even laughter as you go through the technique with them and watch their fear simply melt away.

If that sounds dramatic and too much like a sales letter would, all I can say is try it for yourself. I know when I’ve used this quick phobia cure on children and adults that this is what happens!

There’s an excellent chance that you’ll get rid of any fear in just one listening – the personal sessions I’ve done with people work with just one session and this is near enough identical.

If you’re still unsure, there’s a one month money back guarantee as well, so you’ve got plenty of time to try out this fast phobia cure for yourself.

The Brain Evolution System is a binaural beats meditation system.

This makes it a competitor to some other systems that I’ve reviewed, such as Centerpointe and the Meditation Program.

I got sent a review copy of Brain Evolution in early November 2008 and have listened to each of the six CDs (obviously not for the recommended month per CD!) in the set.

As you may know, my previous favorite binaural beats system is the Meditation Program. And that’s still the case.

That said, there are a number of points in favor of the Brain Evolution system:

Each CD is only 30 minutes long. This is actually a big advantage if you’re short of time and find that the hour taken up by the other systems is simply too long to set aside.

The background sound is typically heavy rainfall. Sometimes there are church bells as well. And sometimes the rainfall turns into a full blown storm. That means if you’re unfortunate enough to be afraid of thunderstorms, this isn’t the program for you. But if you find that the gentle sounds of the other programs sends you to sleep, the Brain Evolution System will almost certainly ensure that you’re alert enough to get the full benefit of the meditation.

The system also comes with a “brain food supplement” called Acuity. You’ll get a one month pot when you purchase the system and the option to continue receiving it each month. The supplement is claimed to help boost your mind power and the ingredients list includes:

L-Glutamine, one of the few amino acids that can get transferred from your bloodstream into your brain.

DHA, a fatty acid that is useful to your brain.

Ginkgo Biloba, which can help with brain function (but if you are taking anything for your blood circulation, check with your doctor first)

Various other herbs designed to help boost your brain power

The other good news about the Brain Evolution System is that – unlike the main competitors – they offer a free 21 day trial. When you take out the trial, you’ll get access to the first level of the Brain Evolution System and you can listen to it for three weeks to check that it’s right for you.

So if you’ve never tried a binaural beats meditation system before, it’s well worth checking out the free trial. This will give you a good idea of how well binaural beats work even if, like me, you’re not totally happy with the noisy rainfall that’s used in this product to disguise the binaural beats.

So, what’s my verdict?

I like the idea of binaural beats meditating. It’s easy and doesn’t require any complicated preparation.

Personally, I’m staying with the Meditation Program for my regular meditation.

But if you find yourself drifting off to sleep with that system or if you find that your schedule doesn’t allow you the luxury of an hour a day to listen to a meditation track, then the Brain Evolution System is certainly worth examining.

The choice is yours – this is a top quality product and you can sign up for the free 21 day trial so you don’t have to take my word for it!

And if you’re still not sure, I’ve done a comparison chart below covering the three different systems. I think I’ve got all the main points but if there’s anything I’ve missed, please let me know.

If you want to listen to subliminal recordings, you have two main options:

Purchase a pre-recorded subliminal CD

Make your own subliminal recordings

Whilst you can find out online what you need to do, Subliminal Studio is a shortcut and provides all the tools you need in one convenient set.

I’ve had a copy of Subliminal Studio for quite a few years now and have found it a quick and easy way to create custom subliminal recordings. It gives you complete control over what goes into your recordings.

One of the worries people have about prerecorded subliminal CDs is finding out exactly what is in the messages. You need to make sure that you buy from a reputable subliminal CD supplier so that you’re only getting the messages you expect.

So why would you make your own subliminal recordings?

Complete control over the messages

Your own choice of background music

Your own choice of “extras” such as silent subliminals, binaural beats, etc

You can sell or give them away to others

Subliminal Studio takes you through the creation and recording process step by step.

You get a 30 day trial version of Adobe Audition software. If you want to continue using it after the trial, you’ll need to purchase the full copy from somewhere like Amazon. Or you can do like I did when my trial ran out and download Audacity, which is a free audio software and does most of the things Audition without the hefty price tag.

Whilst the software is good, it wasn’t my main reason for buying the package.

You’ll also get royalty free relaxation music (3 hours of it in the standard edition), royalty free natural sounds, pre-recorded binaural beats, 20 pre-recorded subliminal scripts that you can use straight away or as models for your own scripts.

You’ll also get a script that runs in Adobe audition and allows you to create your own “silent subliminals”. These are the weird subliminals used by programs such as Centerpointe Holosync that are totally silent when you listen to them but are heard directly by your subconscious mind as though they were being spoken directly to you. It’s a cool technology and makes Adobe Audition seem very tempting (plus you get 30 days to play with it anyway).

You also get a software program called MindSync which lets you produce your own binaural beats quickly and easily, including a binaural beats frequency chart so that you can aim your beats at exactly the spot you want to reach.

It’s not mentioned on the main page (although the page you reach when you click the ‘order’ button tells you) but there is an inexpensive upgrade option. I went for this because it gives you an extra bunch of pre-recorded music, more binaural beats, more nature sounds plus a much bigger collection of subliminal scripts (almost 90 in total). And a bunch of hypnosis sessions that you can use together with your subliminal recordings.

So if you’re looking to record your own subliminals, get hold of Subliminal Studio. It’s a great value package and will allow you to create your own subliminal recordings for your own use or to sell on to others.

Cosmic Ordering is credited by Noel Edmonds as being responsible for his return to UK television after an absence of several years.

As you’ll be aware if you’ve searched Amazon, there are quite a few books on the subject including books by Barbel Mohr and Stephen Richards, whose Cosmic Ordering Guide was my introduction to the subject.

The idea of Cosmic Ordering is that you decide on what you want and then place your “order” with the cosmos, which then delivers on your order. The idea isn’t new – Napoleon Hill and Wallace D Wattles both talked of very similar ideas – but the methodology has become more precise. Both these authors taught that every idea has to be thought about before it can come into reality and essentially they both said that the more you think about something, the more likely it is to come into your life.

The new works on Cosmic Ordering take this to another level.

Having read Stephen Richards’ book, I was intrigued and went on to find the Advanced Cosmic Ordering secrets (look at that link but don’t buy it from there. I’ll explain why later).

The system is made up of:

A 115 page ebook that covers the complete process and explains why cosmic ordering often doesn’t work for people. It tells you the truth that you knew all along but didn’t want to admit to yourself – there’s much more chance of the things you want coming to pass if you do something more than dream about them. It also gives you lots of different methods so that you can pick the one that suits you best. There are plenty of real life examples and “how to’s”.

A 30 minute guided audio that takes you through the complete process from start to finish. Plus a transcript of the track if you’re type who likes to know what they’re getting into first. I guess you could call this track a “cosmic meditation”.

5 separate cosmic ordering audio sessions. One each for health/wellbeing, finding love, financial wealth, success and emotional freedom.

A 60 minute binaural beats cosmic ordering audio. I’m a fan of binaural beats and the meditation program I listen to on a daily basis uses them to drop me into a deep meditative state with near enough no effort on my part. This session does the same for cosmic ordering.

100 abundance affirmations that you can use or adapt. These are designed to fit in with the 5 special audio sessions.

A digital “wake-up” audio to bring you back to life. I’ve been using something similar to this for years to recharge my batteries and can vouch for the power of this one.

Two free hypnosis sessions – the small print here is that you need to buy 3 other sessions in order to qualify for the 2 free ones but they’re top quality hypnosis tracks and there are several hundred tracks to choose from so it’s highly likely you’ll find some you want. And the price of the tracks is quite low – you can see the range here.

All in all, it’s quite a comprehensive package and I’ve found it to be the best of the ones I’ve looked at. You can see the complete Advanced Cosmic Ordering page here.

The main book is an easy read and quite accessible. It’s written in down to earth language and goes through how you should phrase your requests to the cosmos, how often you should send your requests, whether or not you need to write them down. There are lots of examples that you can follow. There are also some exercises that you can follow so that you can see the system working for real, for you, in just a few days. Following these helps build your confidence in the system. Manifesting something (a red feather is used in one of the examples) and seeing it with your own eyes is a great confidence booster and the book gives some helpful ways to do this.

The cosmos takes things quite literally, so how you phrase your requests is very, very important. Again, the book goes through this in depth and you’ve also got the 5 pre-recorded sessions to use until you build up your confidence in compiling your own requests.

The audio sessions are high quality, professionally written and recorded. If you’re like most people, you’re probably after a quick start and the 5 pre-recorded cosmic ordering sessions provide just that. There’s no worry about whether or not you’ve got the instructions “right”. All you need to do is play the pre-recorded MP3. Unusually for me, I didn’t actually leap straight in to listen to these. I took a bit of time to check that the overall approach was one that I was happy with first. But it didn’t take me too long before my headphones came out! If you’ve been looking for audios specifically designed to help with your cosmic ordering, these definitely fit the bill.

The complete Advanced Cosmic Ordering set is delivered on CD.

Surprisingly, there isn’t the option to just download it – the much bigger file sizes for the meditation program give a download or CD option. But the system only takes a few days to arrive and having a CD probably means you’ll use it more often (rather than let it sit forgotten on your hard disk), so maybe that’s why.

My other niggle is a small one. I’m not a fan of entering a password into PDF’s before I can read them. The main book comes password “protected”, so make sure you jot down the password on a label on the CD case so you’re not hunting through all your back emails in a few weeks or months time when you want to re-read a section. But, again, it’s a minor niggle compared with the abundance that you can create in your life using the cosmic ordering system.

All in all, this is a good, affordable introduction to cosmic ordering and is easy to follow and implement.

I mentioned earlier that you shouldn’t order through the links above. Instead, you should use these links to get a discount on your purchase:

Advanced cosmic ordering secrets, discounted CD, credit card (uncheck the registration backup service unless you really want to pay extra for it)

These links take you through to a specially discounted price of $37.95 (a $10 saving on the regular price).

I’ve been using Centerpointe Holosync for some years now and have reached their Purification level 2, which means I’m about half way through their program. Most people who know me say that I’ve improved for the better over the years I’ve been listening to it.

It’s a good system – I wouldn’t have been using it for so long if it wasn’t – but I’m always open to new ideas.

Recently, I came across the Meditation Program (look at that link but don’t buy it from there. I’ll explain why later). It makes some pretty bold claims. So let’s examine some of them:

They say that Centerpointe is mind-numbing, dis-engaging and outdated. Mind-numbing and dis-engaging I’d agree with. The first CD track is 30 minutes of rainfall with occasional chimes, the second CD track is 30 minutes of rainfall. But then you’re supposed to be dropping down to lower and lower levels of brain activity, so I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing. After all, the aim of Centerpointe is to drop you down to deeper brain levels. It’s not aimed at the top 30 charts. Besides, I’ve been listening to these CDs for years now and find them kind of relaxing. So I guess that’s a kind of “horses for courses” criticism.

Moving on to the outdated claim. As a layman, I’m not particularly qualified to decide on that. But Holosync is, by Centerpointe‘s own admission, a 20 year old technology. So when it was “born” the CD had only recently been invented, cell (or mobile) phones were just about “luggable”, the iPod wasn’t even a twinkle in Apple’s eye and your average PC came with a 5.25″ floppy disk and, if you were rich, a hard disk that might hold one low resolution picture taken by a modern digital camera. So the odds are that, yes, Meditation Program‘s claim that Holosync is outdated is quite likely. Of course, outdated doesn’t mean “doesn’t work”, just that there could be something newer and better available.

Certainly the Meditation Program is quicker than Centerpointe. The Purification level CD I’ve got says that it will take a year or more for me to complete just the current level I’m on. I’d agree and, from past experience, it would probably take me personally nearer to 18 months to get through the level.

Meditation Program only has 8 levels. Each one can be completed in around a week, maybe stretching to 10 days per level if you want to take it easy. I’m currently on my third week and listening to level 3, so I’d agree with that timescale.

The backing sounds are more varied. There’s music swirling around. And the music changes after levels 1 and 2 to something different on 3 and 4. So you won’t get bored.

The binaural beats are a lot more obvious on Meditation Program. A lot more obvious. With Centerpointe, they’re barely noticeable. With Meditation Program they’re very obvious. I don’t know whether this is good or bad. My guess is that it makes no difference – your brain will notice them whichever way they are presented.

Centerpointe allows subliminal messages to be encoded on the CDs once you get past the initial level. Meditation Program doesn’t offer this. Whether this matters to you depends on your view on subliminal messages. But it could be fairly irrelevant when you look at the next point.

The full Centerpointe program will take years to complete and at a shade under $200 for the first level and then a dozen more levels to go through over the years, it’s going to set you back quite a lot of cash.

The Meditation Program costs $125 on CD or $85 to download. The downloadable version is cheaper when you buy it through the discounted links later on in this review. It will take you around 8 weeks to complete if you fast track it, up to about 8 months if you want to be more relaxed in your progress. Either way, there will be plenty of cash left over to buy subliminal CDs to your heart’s content.

So, what’s my overall verdict?

Well, although I really like Centerpointe and have done for years, I’ve moved across to the Meditation Program for my daily listening routine. Partly because I’m impatient and want to reach the deepest level sooner than 2014, which is the absolute earliest I’d reach it with Centerpointe. Rather than some time late February or early March this year, which is when I’ll reach it with Meditation Program.

One other thing to mention. Centerpointe is CD only, so it arrives through the post. Meditation Program has the option of being sent on CD (you’ll get all 8 levels when you order) or you can download it. If you opt to download, make sure you’re on a fast connection. If you’re on dialup or slow broadband, it will be quicker to order by post. The files are b-i-g. About 800Mb.

But if you’re on a good internet connection, save yourself some extra cash by using one of these two discounted order links:

Meditation program, discounted download, credit card

Meditation program, discounted download, PayPal

Those links will take you straight through to a specially discounted price of $67 (a bit like some sites offer a place to put in a coupon code).

Whichever method you choose, I think you’ll notice a positive difference in yourself.

You may have seen the publicity about the Science of Getting Rich.

It’s a book from the early 1900′s by a man called Wallace D Wattles.

Bob Proctor has recently revamped his audio course about the book, you can find out more details about what he’s done at this link.

I bought the course a number of years ago, when it was published by Nightingale Conant (and when it didn’t cost almost $2,000!). I also went to a weekend seminar based on Bob Proctor’s interpretation of the book.

The ideas in Science of Getting Rich are timeless. The thought processes involved are similar to those expressed later by Napoleon Hill in “Think and Grow Rich”. Anything that you strongly and vividly imagine for long enough will manifest itself. The same ideas are expressed in the “Secret” that’s also popular at the moment.

Because of when it was written, the language in Science of Getting Rich is archaic. Which is where Bob Proctor’s help comes in – he takes you through the book and helps interpret the ideas in modern day English. There are also a number of exercises that come with the program, asking questions based on your reading of the book and how it has changed your thought processes.

Is it worth spending almost $2,000 on an interpretation of a book you can get for free here? That depends on how you learn. If you are happy reading a book and working out what to do with the information, then the answer should be obvious.

If you need the structure of a course, Bob Proctor’s interpretation is exceptional. Follow it through and you’ll see the changes in your life.

If, on the other hand, almost $2,000 is a stretch at the moment then I’d strongly suggest that you download your copy of Science of Getting Rich here. Read the book. Then if, like me, you find it’s a struggle to interpret but you realize that the underlying ideas are excellent, check out the “set your own price” tutorial that’s linked inside the book.

That’s certainly the route I’d take today if I came across Science of Getting Rich for the first time.
The ideas in Science of Getting Rich are powerful ones. You can use them to transform your life. The language used is strange to our modern eyes, no question about that. If you need help interpreting sentences like “No thought of form can be impressed upon Original Substance without causing the creation of the form.” then some kind of study program to go alongside the book will be priceless.

Of course, the option to get the book together with the added value from Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield and Dr Beckfield is the deluxe option. If you’re truly serious about becoming rich and are motivated enough to follow through with the ideas, then Bob Proctor’s version of Science of Getting Rich is highly recommended.

Whichever route you take, follow through. That’s where most of us don’t quite succeed. We start off with the best intentions and then life gets in the way.

Whichever method you choose to get hold of Science of Getting Rich, make sure you actually read it and use the ideas and methods to transform your life.

If you’re into self growth and personal development, this is an offer that seems too good to refuse.

Swap your name and email address for $4,570 worth of self growth goodies. If that’s all the information you need to know, click here.

Normally I’m suspicious when someone offers me lots of information for free. I run through my mind and wonder whether it’s going to be just a bunch of useless rubbish that’s been recycled since the internet was in nappies.

But that wasn’t the case here. I’ve been buying products on and off through this company for years. So I know they deliver at least what they promise.

Amongst other things, you’ll get free:

2 hypnosis downloads (this one has the catch that you only get these tracks free when you buy 5 other tracks from their range)

Mind mapping software (PC or Mac)

Relaxation screensaver

Holistic healing secrets

Motivator software

47 herbal remedies just like granny used to use (and being herbal, they’re natural, still work and have a lot less side effects than modern drugs)

Bryan Knight’s introduction to hypnosis

An audio interview with prolific self growth author Dr Joe Vitale

Online video coaching with Brian Walsh

Advanced memory course that takes over where Tony Buzan leaves off

Motivator software to nicely nag you to stay motivated

$10 off subliminal power, their best selling subliminal software that flashes subliminal messages onto your computer screen

30% off their relaxation, binaural beats and subliminal CDs (if you’re thinking of buying any of these, the free membership is a must)

Access to their own self development radio station

And more…

All you need to do is sign up with your name and email address.
